We offer a range of Geared Hub Motors for both front and rear wheel installation, 53621HR-CD   6T  8T  10T  12T  300rpm ebike motor . The continuous rated output power and motor speed can be modified to customer requirements. Maximum continuous output power can be over 1000W which will produce around 50kph or 31mph max speed (higher speed can be achieved but the motor will get hot with prolonged use). Maximum input power is determined by the controller current limit, but can be 2000W. Our lower speed motors will have lower continuous output power, but can still deliver high peak power when required for strong acceleration and hill climbing ability. The motor uses a 5:1 Epicyclic reduction gear system with freewheel and has double the number of motor poles compared to typical geared hub motors on the market. Our design offers excellent motor efficiency and torque over a wide speed range that you cannot obtain with a typical Direct-Drive motor. The design also allows the motor to be smaller and lighter than a direct drive motor of equivalent power.

There are smaller and lighter Geared Hub motors on the market but they cannot come close to the power and torque that the Mac motor delivers. When not under power, the clutch in the gear system allows the rider to pedal the bicycle with little more effort than is required for a normal bicycle.

Another big advantage that our Rear Motor offers is the ability to fit both a standard Disk Brake and 7 speed freewheel within a standard rear dropout of 135mm. Very few geared or direct drive hub motors can offer this, even low powered 250W motors on the market, let alone a motor with the performance that the Mac motor offers. Many geared hub motors in the market will have an axle width of over 135mm and can only accept a 6 speed freewheel which makes it more difficult to integrate the motor into a standard bicycle and can be dangerous as alloy framed bicycles should not be bent to accommodate a larger than standards axle width. A 9 speed freewheel compatible rear motor is currently under development which can still fit within a typical bicycle frame.
